Apple iPhone X is reportedly facing a huge supply gap and now things might have just gone worse for the company. Well, the demand has been surprising and while the company claims that the device went out stock in minutes during the pre-orders, it seems there were some group of people who were eager to get their hands on the latest device much earlier than others.

Having said that, new reports now state that a group of thieves have stolen more than 300 Apple iPhone X devices worth over $370,000 (roughly Rs. 2.40 crores) from an Apple Store in San Francisco, just ahead of its launch.

According to a report by CNET on Thursday, the three thieves stole Apple's new smartphones from a UPS truck parked outside a San Francisco Apple Store - around 11:15 am PT (11:45 pm IST) in the broad daylight. The truck was delivering 313 iPhone X units, the report cited the police as saying. Prices start at Rs. 89,000 or $999 (for the 64GB variant), and go up to Rs. 1,02,000 or $1,149 (for the 256GB variant).

While it may be a huge loss for Apple, the report notes that the US-based package delivery company UPS has said that it is working with the law enforcement to investigate the theft. This is the first time such incident has happened in the history. Normally you hear of people robbing banks but it seems that these thieves have gone beyond the traditional route. Nobody would have been expecting such case.
